I've forgotten that God does speak to everyone. It's just that few (know to / know how to) listen.

really wanted to blog but don't have any time

ahhhhhh I have so much more to taste and see

thoughts:

- people who give though they have barely enough, who treat everything God gives them as not their own
- fellowship straight to marriage, no dating (???)
- dressing very plainly, looking far from a supermodel, yet being called one of the most beautiful women one could ever meet
- dreams vs. living day-to-day, or dreams and living day-to-day
- give me neither poverty nor riches
- one body, one Spirit
- shekinah at Rice University
- milk and solid food
- servanthood
- angels
- maturity and age, not always directly related
- to be committed to building up others
- the selfish thoughts of becoming twenty years old
- architecture and Jesus

to-do:

- retreat
- de young museum
- brown bbs
- GET BOOKS

thanks:

- new beginnings, second chances
- angels
- fellow believers who love architecture but want to love God more. who want to love God and His people through architecture, despite having little to no idea what that looks like
- a good professor who looks unafraid to push me to my limits
- people who struggle and understand struggle
- opportunity to learn learn learn grow grow grow change change change
- long-suffering and mercy from members of the body
- dad

made to crave

I listened to this Focus on the Family broadcast during breakfast with my mom. Sooo relevant.

Finding Satisfaction in God, Not Food 2

I've never heard anyone talk about food/weight loss from such a biblical standpoint. Alongside the idols of greed, lust, approval, reputation, service, and accomplishment, food can seem like such a laughable matter. But let's be honest, it really isn't (for females, anyways. I don't know if guys struggle with this as much). It's something that has to be laid at His feet over and over again. It consumes more of my thoughts than I'd like to admit - whether it's guiltily giving into my cravings or obsessing over my weight.
how does a true woman of God, a Proverbs 31 woman who seeks first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, go about this day by day? what does it look and feel like to be healthy, in all senses, and live life without that pitiful sense of defeat?

You will not share Your glory with another.
You shall not share Your glory with another.
You will not share Your glory with another.
You shall not share Your glory with another.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."

I will never forget what my mom said that one time we were talking about spiritual growth the summer before college.
this is life: you think you're something, then you'll realize you're nothing, you think you're something again, you realize you're nothing once more.
God, make me something by reminding me that I am nothing. over and over and over again.

side note - I wish I read enough of The Brothers Karamazov or knew enough about Dostoevsky to figure out why he began his book with that verse.
